Crystal Chan MD, MSc, FRCSC
Dr. Crystal Chan is a Clinician Investigator at Mount Sinai Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto. After obtaining her medical degree and residency training at the University of Toronto, Dr. Chan completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) at Mount Sinai Hospital. She was then selected as a Visiting Scholar at the Center for Reproductive Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Canada, with dual specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology and REI.
Dr. Chan’s areas of interest include research examining the mechanisms behind uterine receptivity in IVF, as well as minimally-invasive fertility surgery. She has received national and international recognition for research, including awards from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the Canadian Society for Clinical Investigation (CSCI). She is a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (SLS), and is actively involved in teaching laparoscopic surgery skills at local and international conferences.
Dr. Chan takes a patient-centred and evidence-based approach to the care of her patients.
