Referrals urgent

Oncology and medically necessary fertility preservation referrals are triaged urgently.

 

Fertility preservation includes:  freezing eggs, sperm, embryos or reproductive tissue.
Therapies that may affect fertility include:

  • Chemotherapy
  • Radiation
  • Surgery on reproductive organs
  • Gender affirming therapy or procedures

Ontario Fertility Program referrals

Referring patients for publicly funded fertility care

 

Mount Sinai Fertility has received additional funding through the Ontario Fertility Program, allowing us to support more eligible patients seeking publicly funded fertility care, including funded IVF services.

 

We are accepting referrals from physicians and nurse practitioners for patients seeking fertility assessment, IVF, and other fertility care. Please use the Mount Sinai Fertility referral process to refer your patient.

 

There is currently no wait time for OFP or private pay cycles.

  • Mount Sinai Fertility has eight Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Specialists (REI) working out of three locations. Select your preferred location and REI Specialist on your referral form; if you don’t have a preference we will assign you to the first available specialist.
  • Oncology referrals are processed on an urgent basis (typically within 24 to 48 hours).

Note on wait times for IVF funding through the Ontario Fertility Program:

 

  • Wait times for new patient appointments may vary. The Ontario Fertility Program provides funding for In-vitro fertilization (IVF) and intrauterine insemination (IUI). The funding program is limited and therefore there may be wait times associated with accessing funded fertility services.
